It is a great Lego DNA model. One of the best I've seen. If you use a different color 1X2 brick intervening the 2X1 bricks (red in the photo), it will represent the phosphate. If there is no hole in those different color 2X1 bricks, it will be instructive about the inability of phosphate to bond with the nitrogen bases. It has been a long time since I've played with Lego but now, getting ready to teach high school genetics, building Lego DNA models could be one of the highlights of the course. Do you think you could help me with obtaining the parts? Is there a kit to purchase? or directions? So far the 1X2 bricks with holes have eluded me. Any help you offer is appreciated.
